Folder Permissions
So we have a share server that our faculty use to share files (obviously). Well one group in Active Directory have permissions to different folders - DataManagement and DataAnalysis. The server only shows the files and folders on the D: drive, where the Data Management and Data Analysis folders are. One of the faculty accidentally moved the Data Management folder into the Data Analysis folder. I need to figure out how this can be kept from happening. Thanks The Fox

Hi On the folder properties, in the security tab click on advanced button. Now select the group and check for list of security settings. Uncheck the permissions for "delete" and "delete folders and subfolders". This will help them not to move them. But however they can copy them to other places. You may grant the group Read permission only. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
