Fine Grained Password Policy -AD

hello guys, I have two DCs 1 Win2k8 and 1 Win2k12.

If I have to use PowerShell for Fine Grained Password Policy it will be okay?

Win2k8 will be able to support PowerShell with Fine Grained Password Policy?

Thanks.

Hi cguan,

So long as it's Server 2008 R2 and later (not Server 2008) then yes, you will be able to administer PSO's from PowerShell.

Cheers,

Hi,

You cannot use Windows PowerShell to manage Fine-Grained Password Policy on Windows Server 2008. To do this, you need at least Windows Server 2008 R2.

Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 both ship with PowerShell 2.0 installed by default. The Active Directory module included in Windows PowerShell 2.0 is a Windows PowerShell module (named Active Directory) that consolidates a group of new cmdlets, which can be used to manage and administer the Active Directory from the command line.
