Fileserver permissions
ALL, I work for client who is bank services...they need to have file server secured...we have around 3000 users using fileserver.. Can you please guide me how to setup right permissions on fileserver..or appreciate if any links provided ... TIA

Hello, For the sake of folder secuity, you may consider enabling Access-based Enumeration on that file server. Access-based Enumeration allows users to list only the files and folders to which they have access when browsing content on the File Server. ABE was first introduced in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, eliminating the confusion of connecting to a file server and seeing a large number of files that users don’t have access to, which can enhance the security. Scorpio_milo, THanks for your reply...i hve to divide groups like executive, operational, accouting, administration, IT...and more...then i hve to assign permissions...it cannot see acounting dept folders....but exec can see all folders...wht is the right path to implement this...Thanks
