File share/security on iSCSI target

I have a 2tb iSCSI target that I use to store files that are shared off of a Windows Server 2008 box.  The iSCSI target is on a Synology DS1812+.

If I connect this target to a new 2012 server, will the security remain the same on the files?  I know the shares won't be there, but those are easy to re-create.

Thanks.

Hi,

Security (NTFS Security) will always remain as it goes with folders/files. If you are still in a same domain, domain security will still be recognized.

But noticed that local security settings will not be recognized.
