File server rejects connections to RDP port and rejects access to shared files on the server
I have a environment with Windows 2003 R2 with hostname (terminal_svr) Terminal server and Windows 2003 R2 as File server (file_svr) everything is working normally but my file server is sometimes not accepting the connections when i make RDP to file server Ip:192.168.4.1. I also have all user profiles and outlook PST files on the same file server this are also not accessible at this time. If i restart the file server everything gets normal again. can you please help me to get this problem solved without rebooting the file server. Please help !!! Thanks in advance

Hi,According to your description, I assume this issue might be caused by Windows Firewall. Please ensure you have made the exception rules for File sharing and RDP access on the server. Also you may turn on and off the firewall when the issue occurs, does it work?To turn Windows Firewall on or off, you can refer to:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738511(WS.10).aspxRegards,Wilson JiaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
