File level IO in resource manager
Under administrative tools, or in the performance tab of task manager, there's a Resource Manager console tool. One of the tabs in the tool is "Disk" and you can watch and see files/paths that are high IO for reads, writes, response time, etc. Does anyone know how to record this information so I can see the results over time? I realize I can watch reads and writes per disk using perfmon, but what about specific files? Thanks

Hi, There is a useful article on calculating disk requirements - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125019(EXCHG.65).aspx In relation to capturing information from the tool - Try this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722148.aspx Another useful link: http://pal.codeplex.com/ Martin If you find my information useful, please rate it. :-)
