Basically your DHCP server must hand out static address of AD server as primary DNS server address so clients can find DC. Then put the ISP's DNS addresses in the forward lookup of your DNS server so clients can find internet. Also make sure your server has static IP address outside of DHCP scope. Hello, is that server domain controller or workgroup server? If DC it is also a DNS server for the domain and ALL domain amchines have to use it on the NIC ONLY and Forwarders have to be configured in the DNS server properties in the DNS management console. At the moment all DNS request will be sent to the internet and can't be resolved internal and this result in your connection problems.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello, on all domain machines configure the LAN ip addresses on the NIC, either manual or with the DHCP server scope options. So your server should look like: IP address 193.15.30.10 SM 255.255.255.0 D.G 193.15.30.2 DNS 193.15.30.10 Also the workstations should look like this: IP address 193.15.30.x SM 255.255.255.0 D.G 193.15.30.2 DNS 193.15.30.10 After changing the ip settings as shown above on the domain controller, cleanup the DNS zones from all other records that are not from the 193.15.30.x range and run ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns and restart the netlogon service or reboot the DC. On the Windows XP machines do the same with ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns and reboot them. Why do you use 2 different DG for server and workstations and also 2 external DNS server pairs, 212.102.0.10 and 212.102.0.11 and the other one on the server 128.64.31.1 and 128.64.31.2? Choose one option for DG on all machines and also the belonging external DNS servers. The external DNS servers configure as FORWARDERS on teh DNS server properties in the DNS management console(open with dnsmgmt.msc from the run line on the DC), if the option is greyed out delete the root zone "." above the domain name in the DNS console and close the console and open it again, now the FORWARDERS cna be configured. The root "." zone is only needed for ISPs on top level of DNS system and not for your use, so it is safe to remove it.
