File Server Migration System Error 5, Access Denied
I'm attempting to migrate files from a Windows 2003 File Server to a Windows 2008 File Server and retain all permissions via the File Server Migration Toolkit. For this post, I will refer to the old 2003 File Server as FS1 and the new 2008 File Server as FS2. I am able to add FS1 as a source file server, however the shares are not properly enumerated. The only share I see is in the File Server Migration Tool is DD$. I am able to connect to the registry of FS1 from FS2 without any issues and view the keys referencing shares. Any help towards resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
