Favourites redirection
Hi all, I am looking to implement redirection of a customers Internet Explorer Favourites to a file server. My question is how will this work with laptop users who go off-site with their laptop. Will it save a local copy of their favourites and sync then on next logon (Offline Files)? Many thanks beforehand.

Hi, You can use the policy "Do not automatically make redirected folders available offline". If you disable this setting or do not configure it, redirected shell folders are automatically made available offline. On Windows Server 2003, the policy is under [User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files] and [Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Offline Files]. On Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2, the policy is under [User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Folder Redirections]. Hope this helps.
