Hi Raky,In order to narrow down the cause of the issue more efficiently, let us refer the following steps to perform a Clean Boot and restart the computer in Safe Mode to see if the event ID still continue to re-occure. Step 1: Perform a Clean Boot 1. Click "Start", go to "Run", and type "msconfig" in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility. 2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click Disable All (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". 4. Restart your computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the box and click "OK". Step 2: Reboot to Safe Mode 1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple Operating Systems, you can press the F8 key when you see the boot menu. 2. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select Safe Mode, and then press Enter. 3. Log onto Windows by using the Administrator account or any user account with the Administrator privileges. Please note: In Safe Mode, your system display and desktop will look and perform differently than in Normal Mode. Please try the above steps and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. It's my pleasure to be of assistance. I am looking forward to your reply. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi all, Thank you for your swift reply. My server is in a distant location and needs to be up all the time so i prefer to avoid taking it offline in order to boot in safe mode unless that's our last resort. Furthermore, please note that i have around 120 users on the server and 90% of them connect through terminal services. Whenever I connect to the server (also through TS) with an account that has local administrative privileges, i receive multiple pop-up error messages indicating that explorer have crashed lately. Personally, i have never experienced explorer crash or malfunction while I'm working on the server. I started receiving these errors after i upgraded my server from standard to enterprise edition. In order to upgrade successfully, i had to remove the .net framework, upgrade and then reinstall it. Afterwords, I experienced a problem with the management studio so i removed the client tools of SQL server 2005 and then reinstalled it to solve this issue. Please note, that i have successfully ran a windows update after the upgrade. Please advise,

For those who are experiencing the same problem, kindly note that removing the ' Internet explorer enhanced security configuration from the 'Add\Remove windows components' and then restarting the server fixed my problem. I also noted a significant amelioration in the overall performance of the server.
