Devender,
Have you checked adminserver logs if there are any are warnings/errors?
A few things you can as well try:
-try browsing (<a href="http://:16089/fasthome)">http://<servername>:16089/fasthome) using a different browser.
-Stop and then restart adminserver via nctrl.

HI Patrick,

I have checked adminserver logs(adminserver.log) and they are not showing any errors or warning as such.

As suggested by you http://<servername>:16089/fasthome url is opening but when I click on  ESP Admin GUI link under System Operation the page keeps on processing and doesn't load up.

I noticed that there is lot of load on filetraverser process which is set through cronjob and this might be the cause of ESP Admin GUI  not loading, I have stopped cronjob  temporarily and observing to see if load is reduced.

In the meanwhile could you please suggest what other things I can try regarding it.

Devender,
Yes it would be nice to just try to browse using the OOB status/setting.
The only other thing I can think of is to check/monitor  the system resources utilization  (RAM/CPU) usage when you experience the problem.

Hi Patrick,

As file traverser process was overloaded so I have to sequentially restart the fast servers, now ESP admin GUI  and search is working fine. Though I have noticed that there is a warning "got unknown exception when binding to esp/admin/resourceservice/0 ". Could you please suggest what can be the reason for it and should I restart resourceservice process.

Hi Devender,

What service pack do you have installed on ESP 5.3?  If you are seeing unknown exception warnings, I have a couple of recommendations:

1) The unknown exception warnings can occur if there is a hung or lingering process.  Are you performing a simple shutdown or a sequential shutdown when you stop and start your Fast environment?  (reference here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2529030/en-us.)  When you said that you had to sequentially restart the fast servers, maybe you did perform a component-based  orderly sequential shutdown, but I wanted to confirm.

2) I recommend being at SP5 for ESP 5.3, but if you are still at ESP 5.3 SP4, then I would advise patching the adminserver component with patch10 (for Windows platforms: https://connect.microsoft.com/fastsearch/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=46114).  If you are still seeing these unknown exceptions, then I would recommend opening a new case with our Technical Support team.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
