Failure to install April 2011
This is happening to both an Acer laptop with Win 7 home 64b and a desdtop with win 7 pro 64. recommended updates KB2515325, KB2522422, KB2492386, AND KB982018 fail to install during reboot and revert after getting to 16%. No recent software installs on laptop. Only fix seems to be to disable these 4 updates.

Try to install them manually. If this does not help, proceed like that: Download them and try to install them manually Disable all security softwares and try again run chkdsk /r /f and sfc /scannow Download and install the System Update Readiness tool: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 Reset Windows Update Components If this does not solve your problem, perform a repair install of your OS. The same problem has already been solved here by just installing them manually. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/0ebd404b-73ce-446f-a0a4-43f17cdc5624 This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
