FTP 425 Cannot open data connection
Client 1a OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard w/ Service Pack 1 Full Computer Name: puma.client1.local Domain: client1.local Client 1b OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition w/ Service Pack 2 Full Computer Name: leopard.client1.local Domain: client1.local Client 2 OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard w/ Service Pack 1 Full Computer Name: rwapps.client2.local Domain: client2.local Server OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard w/ Service Pack 2 Full Computer Name: webserver.corp.company.com Domain: corp.company.com I am remotely connected to Client 1a and I am trying to copy a file via FTP from the Server to Client 1a. I have Command Prompt running as administrator and have entered the following commands: C:\Windows\system32>ftp ftp.company.com User (ftp.company.com:(none)): ravi 331 User name okay, need password. Password: 230 User logged in, proceed. ftp> get ftp-svr\ftp\snapshot.cab 200 PORT Command successful. 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for snapshot.cab (229222 Bytes). 425 Cannot open data connection. If I am remotely connected to Client 1b and enter the same commands, the FTP file transfer is successful. If I am remotely connected to Client 2 and enter the same commands, the FTP file transfer attempt results in the same error. Can anyone help me with this please? PS. I work in the IT department for corp.company.com so I have full access to the webserver.
