FORCED LOG OFF
I still can't get forced logoff to work. Everything I read says there are basically 2 steps, which i have done> Under the "Default Domain Policy" I have enabled the "network security force logoff when logon hours expire". I have assigned hours to the users in their account. Same results. If their on they don't get forced off when their time is up. If their off and try to log on when their time is up they can't get on. there seems to be alot of people on google with the "exact same problem". What other little things might I have overlooked. Please don't assume anything, I'm still kind of new at this stuff........ THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP,,,,,,,,,,

This setting is for logging of users traffic to servers and not a locally logged on user. For logging off users from local client you would need to script something with scheduler for example. From the Group Policy description in Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 : Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options Description Determines whether to disconnect users who are connected to the local computer outside their user account's valid logon hours. This setting affects the Server Message Block (SMB) component. When this policy is enabled, it causes client sessions with the SMB server to be forcibly disconnected when the client's logon hours expire. If this policy is disabled, an established client session is allowed to be maintained after the client's logon hours have expired. Default: Enabled. Brjann

This could of course be an option, but it's kinda forceful: http://www.jsifaq.com/SF/Tips/Tip.aspx?id=8526
