Extend laptop screen to digital TV
Hi all,
I am having windows server 2008 64 bits and an Intel on-board Graphic Adapter that allows me extend my desktop screen to my digital TV via HDMI cable, which works as a champion.
And I remember that I can see different contents on my TV and monitor once I extend my desktop to TV, e.g. once i extend my desktop to tv, i can view contents on my monitor whereas the the other people can see different contents on my digital TV. But I just
cant remember how to do it?

If you "extend" instead of "clone" the desktop, this enables you to put a window on one display and another window on another. Just drag the window (s) to the desired monitor.
Most laptops do provide hardware buttons to walk thourgh cloning/extending settings for the display, usually Fn+F8 of Fn+F6.
If you encounter issues extending, cloning or setting the proper resolution for your displays, you should consider upgarding the driver to the latets provided by the manufacturer.MCP/MCSA/MCTS/MCITP

Hi,
After updating the BIOS and the display card driver, please try to perform the following steps:
1.
Right click on the desktop and select Screen Resolution.
2.
Click Detect to detect the monitors.
3.
Now, please try to extend the display as you want by modify the display settings on the screen.
You may also press Win + P to extend the display.
