Execute a batch file based on a specified event in the Application Event Log
Is it possible to schedule a batch file script to execute after a specified event occurs in the Windows Application Event Log? The operating system is Windows 2003 Server SP2.

Hi Brian333, There’s no such function in Windows Server 2003 to schedule a task triggered by an event in the UI console. However, you can script it. Here’s an example of VBScript. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa381916(v=VS.85).aspx I also suggest discussing this issue in our Official Scripting Guys Forum. Here’s the link for your reference. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ITCG/threads Please note that Windows Server 2008 and later versions have included this function.
