Exchange 2010 MP - KHI Alert overrides

Hi,

I am in the same situation as described by Scott in his thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/operationsmanagermgmtpacks/thread/c7814723-76d1-482e-a05a-bc0d062127cf

I need to change, by an override, the priority level (High to Medium) for some alerts generated in the Exchange 2010 MP. Can someone explain how to do that ?

Thanks

Alain

Hi,

What I don't understand is that the monitor criticity/priority is Critical/LOW and the corresponding alert we received has a  Critical/HIGH level.

Here is an exemple:
Monitor :  "KHI: Database Copy (log) logical disk space problem."
This monitor has availability dependency on three monitors  "KHI: The database copy is low on log volume space. The volume has reached critical levels (xx% free)."
When I look in overrides, monitors are already in Low priority.

Alert Name : "Database Copy (log) logical disk space problem."
Alert rule name : "KHI: Database Copy (log) logical disk space problem."

As I already said, this alert comes with a Critical/HIGH level if the logical disk space falls below the defined threshold. The only parameter that is overridable for this alert is "Enabled".
Is there another alert rule (or something else) that I missed ? Where can I set the priority level for the alert generated ?

Thanks again,
Alain

I believe the upcoming SP1 update to this MP will allow you to configure the priority.

Alain,

I dont have that exact alert so I havent tested this. But if you right click the alert, open Health explorer and from there override the monitor that is in critical state (if there is any).

This works for other KHI alerts...
