Exchange/Mail Settings Tab - Active Directory Users/Computers

My PC:

Brand: Dell
Model: E7450
Hard Drive: Samsung 256GB SSD PM851 mSATA SCSI Disk Device
Memory: 8.00 GB (7.89 usable)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz
Windows: Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1

Problem:

I use active directory regularly at work to manage user accounts at work. We have an exchange tab that we utilize to create mail accounts for each user. When you click on the Exchange tab, I click on "Mail Settings" which brings up a window to create new mail accounts. However, The Mail Settings window does not work properly. I cannot apply, save, cancel, or even exit the window without opening task manager and selecting end-task. (Will add pictures as soon as account is verified)

Problem:

What the tab should look like:

Are you sure? the links you posted are showing the correct pictures on my end.

If you look at the bottom of the "Problem" picture, you should see that "Ok" and "Cancel" are missing. In the "Should look" Picture, the "Ok" and "Cancel" button are there.

Hello,

ok, i must be blind. ;-) Got it.

Where does the add in come from? It seems not to be from Microsoft.

the add-in is the exchange tab from the locally hosted exchange server.

^^ This link is a google search picture of the exchange tab that can be seen in active directory. our platform does have the exchange "email addresses" tab open in its own window in Active Directory, but it is still the same exchange tab. Not a custom developed app.

Hello,

which Exchange version do you use? It seems that Exchange 2003 or lower is the version.

AFAIK the Exchange tabs are working only correct on Windows XP as the RSAT tools do not have the correct tabs implemented.

Is theadminpak.msiinstalled on your management machine?

Exchange management was removed with the new versions and the RSATtools may not be able to manage them complete.

How about instead of scrutinizing what is being posted, assisting in HELPING with the issue. The tab that we use here at the company combine the exchange tabs into 1 tab. Okay?

NOW! The problem is NOT with the "custom" tab! The problem is the fact that I am missing the OK and CANCEL button on the tab. It does not happen on ANY OTHER COMPUTER. Therefore, it is not specific to the tab!

^^Look! I can use CAPS too! However, CAPS doesn't solve my problem now does it? Great! If you can't solve it, say so, And I will move on to other support channels.

I know that the exchange tabs work here, and our entire corporation uses Windows 7 Enterprise. We are an international company and we all use the same Active Directory tree. Every site has their own Domain controller, and when a change is made on one active directory, everything is replicated to all. There are several exchange servers around the globe that our users are connected to, and the exchange tab creates the email and replicates it to all of our domain controllers around the world.

I have installed RSAT tools on another machine, which was recently imaged, along with the "exchange tab" and the issue does not exist on that PC. It also does not exist on any other computer that utilizes the same tab. This doesn't act like a 'tab' dependent problem. It seems to be related somewhere else. I have re-imaged my computer, and reinstalled RSAT and 'exchange' tab and it still doesn't work right (no ok or cancel).
