I have an excel spreadsheet (CSV file actually) I have encrypted it. (EFS) I load it and change it and save the changes. The encryption is gone. Anyone know why? So far only excel breaks it. If i notepad it, the encryption remains. If i dos edit it, the encryption remains. The problem happens 100% consistently for anyone's csv file managed using excel. Many Users many workstations. Folder exists on shared network drive. All certs are good. I'm working with csv because these are files that need to be uploaded to secure web sites, and the files contain ss#s. In Massachusetts, as of march 1st, we must encrypt any file that contains ss#s whil it is being stored on any hard disk. Any assist would be appreciated. Thank you Jerry C
