Example of 64 socket computer system
I know that Server 2008 R2 Datacenter supports up to 64 X64 sockets. Is there an example of a production system that actually has 64 sockets? If not, what is the highest number of sockets one could find "off the shelf"? Thanks, SA.

Hi, Windows Server 2008 R2 support for up to 64 x64 Sockets (256 logical processors), however, it’s hard to say whether there are existing computers with 64 sockets, it will depends on the computer manufacturer. If you want to perform the further research, it is recommend that you get further support in some hardware related forum so that you can get the most qualified pool of respondents. Thanks for your understanding. By the way, if you want to purchase computers with multi sockets, you can contact the computer manufacturer such as Dell and HP. Thanks for your understanding.
