Can't completedly delete all the registry key specified by the link that you provided access denied, however some of the registry key is deleted. After rerun the event log service the same error message: --------------------------- Services --------------------------- Could not start the Event Log service on Local Computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- However in my windows xp there's no parameter folder and also there's no ServiceDll Dword in my windows xp. The rest of registry key is O.K i could find it.
