Event ID 8193 Source VSS
We are having one Windows Enterprise Server 2008 R2. This server is automatically gone down. In the event viewer the following messages are shown:
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine
RegCreateKeyExW(-2147483646,SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Diag\SqlServerWriter,...). hr = 0x80070002, The system cannot find the file specified.
Somebody can help us to resolve the issue.

I would start with looking to disable antivirus if you have it, you usually see this error in relation to backups taking place and not able to run. Check the application event logs also to see if you can find more related error messages or others that
might lead to this like error about backups not running, or anitvirus unable to scan a file.:P Advice offered, If you need more help it is advised to seek the council and advice of paid professionals. The answer is always 42, or reboot.

Hi,
It seems that the issue was caused by the missing SQL Server related registry, SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\Diag\SqlServerWriter. Please verify
and import it from another working SQL Server or stop SQL Server writer to check the result. You may also submit a new question to SQL Server forum which is the best resource for SQL Server related issue for further assistance.

In addition, I also would like to suggest you test the issue in Clean Boot to check if there is any third party software conflict. For the detailed steps,
please refer to the following Microsoft KB article:
