Event ID 4304 DFSR Warning
Hello, We implemented DFSR on 2 server for redundancy purposes, however we are getting these warning messages: The DFS Replication service has been repeatedly prevented from replicating a file due to consistent sharing violations encountered on the file. The service failed to stage a file for replication due to a sharing violation. Additional Information: File Path: D:\Sharedfoler\Data\shipping\app Replicated Folder Root: D:\sharedfolder\Data File ID: {D3F23523532E0546}-v72523525 Replicated Folder Name: Data Replicated Folder ID: A8F1392352391-4513235233D Replication Group Name: domain.local\dfssharedfolder\data Replication Group ID: 91D346346729B2 Member ID: 56346343682-4194-A319-A3867043263463443467 How do we fix this?

This MS article KB 822300(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;822300) addresses directly the solutions to your issue. Also, you might want to check out this KB 319553 (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=319553#E5ACAAA) as well for further network troubleshooting. If still the issue is not fixed, i suggest posting the query in Windows Forum as this forum is purely for a discussion on Exchange 2010. Hi, Sometimes this kind of warnings are common. Generally they are caused if a copy of a file is still opening while it is ready for replication. Please just check if files are replicated correctly. If so, you could safely ignore these warnings as repliation is working fine after these sharing violations happens. Hi, There are Manny reasons that replication is not working just check out the following link for ref. http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archive/2010/11/01/common-dfsr-configuration-mistakes-and-oversights.aspx And also try the hotfix mentioned in the article. Thank you, akshay vithalkar
