Hi guys,

I am configuring Server 2012 Foundation with AD & DNS.

I am getting error 4007. I have searched a lot and followed the instructions on

[The DNS server was unable to open zone _msdcs.reliance.local in the Active Directory from the application directory partition ForestDnsZones.reliance.local. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code.]

I have also removed the zone entries for reliance.local in registry. As my new domain is "reliance.loc".

Still this error persists.

According your description, it seems that you renamed yout domain name.

Please check if you have followed the guide below to rename the domain:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738208(v=ws.10).aspx

Besides, if this is a fresh installed server, a re-installation is much more saving time.
