Event ID 1509 - Cannot copy roaming profile because .xml file longer than 255
Hi everybody,
We are facing a roaming file problem by two different customers with internet explorer file longer than 255 caracters.

This error may be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - The filename or extension is too long.
All computers are running ie8 and windows xp, but problem appears randomly not on all computers/users.
where this long xml file comes from ? Had someone the same problem ?

I have read this post before my post but it's not really the same problem and solutions proposed did'nt help me.
I did not find where this long xml comes from... this file contain just this line :<ROOTSTUB toast_count_5="X" /> (X is always un number, not always the same)
An idea ? Can somes ie addon's or pluggins write under C:\Documents and Settings\***USERNAME***\UserData\
?

Hello,
I can see only appdata under the user profile folder.
Is the below path really exists in windows profiles ?!?!?!

We are having the same problem despite the fact that we are running delprof and a script to delete local profiles upon startup. When users get this message, the only way to fix them is to reboot and manually delete the local profile cache under c:\documents
and settings.
