Hi, We have 2 Windows 2008 R2 file servers with Configured DFS services for replicating my D & H drive users data on 2nd server, 1st server is my live server and users was accesing their data , past few days back my 1st live server hdd were crashed now i have replace new hdd and from carsh point i have pate his image on new hdd, before doing this we have made our 2nd server as live server, now all users are working on that, my question is that if i start my 1st server in producation area then what will happened to my user data , can my 2nd server will replicated all latested data on 1st or 1st server will replcated old data on my 2nd server, before doing 2nd server as live we have changed his IP address which was erlier given to 1st server. pl reply

hi , is this a stand alone namespace or domain based namespace ? have you configured failover cluster for DFS ? AFter you joined back the server to replication group , can you check the status DFS will only replicate the changes across the file servers and doesnt copy the entire folder .
