Evaluation to Production - Windows 2008 R2
Hi all, i have a Win2k8-Server, activated for 180 days. I want to purchase a "real" Product Key, and change this installation, with "Change product Key" to a fully licensed installation. Is this possible, or was it just possible before activating? When i try it with my MAK-Key it is not possible ... Regards, Torsten

Hi, What’s the meaning of “it is not possible”? Normally we can "Change product Key" to a MAK and then activate this MAK as long as the MAK matches your system and is not already in use. Please let us know the error message you received when trying to change to the MAK. Tim Quan

Hi, It is unsupported to upgrade evaluation version to a full version or to change the product key to a full version. To upgrade to a full version, you must use non-evaluation media to run a new install. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2021579 Thanks and Regards, Mukesh.
