I wasn't able to install sp3 properly couple a months ago.Now every time I'm trying to update my software I recive this massage: Error number: 0x8024D007 I've tried the solution provided by microsoft but somehow I'm unable to open Microsoft.com at all.The link that's given by microsoft for this error does not open ____ well.I've also tried to repair my windows using the cd provided with it by dell unfortunately it shows a massage saying that some... sys file is missing.Plus that I forgot to mansion that I had a malware problem a month ago as well which now appears to be ok.Please, any help will be highly appriciated.Thank you very much.

thnx FZB Yes I tried it doesn't help still the same error massage. And something which looks to me realy strange indeed is that when I'm trying to folow the link for my error on the website here http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527 internet explorer shows ,,cannot open the website blah blah thing'' the same happens when i'm trying to open microsoft.com.Is there any other solution I could try. I also tried downlowding sp3 manually but again I was unable to open the link again the same ''cannot open the website thing...''

I'm unable to open Microsoft.com>> You can’t even open www.microsoft .com? Do you have internet connection and can you access any other website? If so, it might be a due to spyware. http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&tid=be9622ac-3fdb-40c5-ba39-f6df5cb35e48&cat=en_US_d02fc761-3f6b-402c-82f6-ba1a8875c1a7&lang=en&cr=&sloc=en-us&m=1&p=1 Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

I suggest you downloading the Windows XP SP3 package and install it in Safe Mode. The package can be found in following link: Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5b33b5a8-5e76-401f-be08-1e1555d4f3d4&DisplayLang=en Please save it to Drive C (not on desktop as we may logon administrator account instead of current account) and reboot to Safe Mode. Try install it in Safe Mode manually. In addition as it is a Windows XP related issue, it is recommended to post to Windows XP forum but not Windows Server forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itproxpsp/threads/
