Error installing Service Pack 1 on Windows Server 2003
I've followed the Methods on KB 22798 and KB 948492.

I'd take a look in the system event log and also %systemroot%\svcpack.log file.

Hi,
I suggest downloading SP1 from the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=22CFC239-337C-4D81-8354-72593B1C1F43&displaylang=en
Then reboot the system, keep pressing F8 and enter Safe Mode. Double-click the downloaded package to install SP1.
