Hi, i´have a fileserver with w2003 server and i need to do a backup weekly, but the server don't have a tape unit, but i´have another server with w2003 too and it´s have a tape, so the backup utility runs from this server across the net,
the thing is after 48 or 1 hour the backup is shutting down, i check the server with the tape and the backup is stop as normal, but i look for the other server and...surprise!!!! the famous blue screen!!! here is the message!!!
***Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
***The system has halted***
I can stop the server only for a while because is a DHCP server too.

I'm not sure what you are asking because the message appears quite evident. I would run hardware level diagnostice to identlfy which memory module is faulty and replace it. If diags don't identify which module is bad you can swap them one at a time until
the problem goes away and the last one you replaced was the bad one, assuming there is only one bad module.Roy Mayo | MCSE
