Hi V284,

If you are in West and South Central US, you may experience degradation in connectivity. Live Azure Status (and historical status) is available here: http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/status/#current

As at 30 Jun 2015 2:30PM PST Azure Status is:

Network Infrastructure - West US, South Central US - Partial Performance Degradation
  • Starting at approximately 30 Jun, 2015 14:45 UTC an intermittent connectivity issue that may result in approximately 3-5% network degradation is being investigated in West US. Root cause is attributed to a fiber cut. Customers may experience intermittent connectivity issues for services deployed in West US, and South Central US. Azure engineers are continuing to work with a 3rd party to fully mitigate network connectivity issues. The next update will be provided in 2 hours or as events warrant.

Please let me know if the warning provided on the site is not applicable to you or if the issue still persists after the announced degradation period.

Thanks for your response Julie. However, the error being received is an authentication error when nothing has changed on the server. Also, in the afternoon I had issues exporting a database in WEST US to a storage location with the same authentication error. Are all these issues related?
