Hello,

From the SSMS installed on my computer, I am connecting to analysis services on a server...with the following steps.

1. Connect -> Select Analysis Services

2. Input Server Name

3. Click Connect

I am having the following error :

Cannot connect to servername

A connection cannot be made. Ensure the server is running (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond properly after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond IP:2383

I have checked several posts but has still not figure out a solution for this issue.

Can someone please provide some directions to resolve this issue.
