Error 339
The program uses code in the file grid32.ocx, which you apparently do not have. There should be a setup program, that installs the app and any dependencies (like grid32.ocx). If you don't run the setup program, you may not be able to run the app. There could
be other dependencies as well. If you can find grid32.ocx on the computer, try registering it. On 32-bit OS's I use regsvr32.exe for this.
This is probably the wrong forum for further support. Check for support url in the textbook, or search online for the app.

Hello,
I am in a math class for my Bachelor's and it requires the use of the Management Scientist. I have a free access to it that my textbook provides - you log on the the textbook website and there is a link to download the management scientist. I
have installed and uninstalled it twice now to try and figure out why it says ERROR 339 when I open the program and try to use any of the subprograms that do all the calculations for my homework. It says"Run-time error 339: Component GRID32.OCX or one
of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. " I have no idea what this means or what to do.
Please help!
Thanks,
Sarah

Hiya,
What O/S are you installing on? - Make sure the version of Management Scientist your trying to install is compatible with your O/S version.
Bare in mind this is a server O/S forum.

Sarah, go the Program Files directory and look for "The Management Scientist"folder. Open this folder and look for the M60.exe file, right click on the file and select properties from the drop down menu. Look for the compatibility tab, under
compatibility mode check run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP Service Pack 3. Further down on the page check the box "run this program as administrator". Click on change settings for all users if multiple people will run
this program using different logins and click on OK at the bottom. This should fix your problem, it worked for me.
