Enterprise or standard version of SQL and Sharepoint

Hi

With SQL as backend system and SharePoint as "frontend" (for the end-users) is there recommendation of versions for SQL and SPS ?

For example:

The Cubes is better (but not required) in SQL Enterprise (delta), but when to use Excel and pivot this does not require SQL Enterprise, Right? - but when using the "Excel" feature in SPS to show as HTML it requires SPS Server Enterprise ? (CAL version?)

Are there other features where Enterprise (SQL, SPS etc.) is necessary instead of standard versions in Service Manager scenarios?

As far as I remember you already listed the essential scenarios of standard and enterprise editions.

Since you and I agreed, and no one else responded this must be the answer
