End of Life for Windows 2000
Dear all,
As support for Windows 2000 ends on 13 July, 2010, can I still able to download existing service pack after the end of life?
Our plan for migration will very likely completed by 1st quarter of 2011. If we can't get SP and security updates downloaded, we maybe in trouble. What solution we have if Microsoft really stop providing Service Patch and security update?

You should be able to download already released SP and updates. Microsoft will just not provide new updates discovered after End Of Live, but the best would be to call Microsoft and verify that. With kind regards

Hi,
As Krystian, if the product runs into the end of life, you can only get the released service packs and hotfixes, Microsoft will not release new updates.
You can refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy.
Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy

By the way, Windows 2000 is a bit old, we recommend that you migrate to Window Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008 before the end of Life for Windows
2000.
