Encrypting file on server other than CA
Hi we have configured CA role on our AD server. I can encrypt files shared on our AD server. But I cannot encrypt file on our File server which is in the same domain. It gives delegation message error though I have enabled delegation for the file server. Do we need to do anything on the file server?

Hi,

Could you please post the detailed error message here? It is helpful for further troubleshooting.

I assume that you are using EFS to encrypt the remote shared file. Actually, when we transfer a EFS encrypted file over the network, it's transferred in plaintext. We can encrypt the disk with bitlock for security.

Best Regards.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for replying. Sorry was busy last few days. We have a file server 2008 R2. Our AD CA server is also on Server 2008. WE have configured EFS encryption. I can encrypt files on my own laptop. Also I can encrypt files on AD server, if I try to access any shared folder on it.

But when I try to encrypt files on our File server. It gives following error. I have enabled delegation for my user as well as File server. I am new to EFS, can you guide as what I am missing here.

Error
