why cannot I share a printer in 2008 server or windows 7 with the firewall off. I have a domain where I need to turn off the firewall so I can update software remotely. And I have a very good Firewall for the whole domain, so I do not need windows firewall on the machines. How do I enable this service with the firewall off?

Printer sharing fails with firewall off The 2008 server Firewall is turned off in the control panel. The win 7 machines are turned off with a Group Policy on the domain controller.
