Embeded non erasable data on usb drive
Hi,
I want to know if there is some way of writing data on a usb drive and prevent that data from being erased, even by formating.
Scenario:
A client wants to give 2GB usb drives as gifts to clients. He wants to embed a ppt file for ex on the usb drive. He wants the ppt file to be available even if the usb drive is formated.
Any ideeas?MCTS...

1. Neither FAT32 nor NTFS formatting would help.
2. Not very professional but working is external memory with switch. A drop of epoxy will do the task.
3. Use device that comply with IEEE 1667.
4. Ask Linux expert to change the right bit in file master table.
5. Even when the USB is formatted there is the trace to the deleted file, unless you use USB rewrite tools.

Hi,
You have following options:
1. By a USB thumb drive with hardware protection switch.
2. Lock the USB thumb drive with some policy to prevent formatting.
