Hi, I performed a test in my Windows 2003 domain environment and found that the recovery agent keys on all files stored in the WebDAV shares can be updated automatically after the date recovery policy is applied. You can run the command gpupdate /force to apply the policy immediately on the client computer.

Getting back into EFS and Webdav as we are looking at moving CA.If I issue new certificate for user for EFS from new server. Durring my testing, it does look like certificate on WebDav server is changed when viewed from computer with both new and old certificates, but if I map webdav share to another computer or with another account, it hasn't really replaced certificate encrypted with. Old certificate is still one really on file.

I have found the answer.Vista's and Win 7Cipher.exe has a /rekey paramater.Running that against webdav directory does change the keys. Can either manually move private keys to vista machine or use group policy for credential roaming to get all private keys onto a Vista or Win 7 machine.Thanksto those that looked into it also.
