Hello why under Advanced Attributes the Details button is greyed out and cannot be clicked. I enabled encryption to the particular folder already. Someone told me that if I have other users on my pc I have to add their certificate in the Details option so that they can access the encrypted folder otherwise they will not. Can I share an encrypted folder with other users on my domain, if yes should I just share it normally like I would with any other folder?

I have just tried to share a folder which is already encrypted but when I try to access the text file inside the same folder from a domain joined pc I get and Access denied error. If I remove the encryption from the folder on the server I can access the text file correctly. From the server I can access the text file always encrypted or not.

Hi, To remote decrypt a file, the following requirements must be met: The computer must be a domain member in a domain that uses Kerberos authentication because impersonation relies on Kerberos authentication and delegation. The server must be trusted for delegation. The user must be logged on with a domain account that can be delegated. For more information, please refer to the section Remote EFS Operations in a File Share Environment in the following article: Using Encrypting File System http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457116.aspx#EHAA
