Dynamische Registrierung von DNS bei DHCP
Hallo zusammen, Clients bekommen per DHCP eine Adresse zugewiesen. Der DHCP Server ist so konfiguriert, dass die Eintragung ins DNS gemacht wird, der Client hat den Haken gesetzt (Netzwerk-Konfiguration), dass er es machen soll. Der macht es denn jetzt wirklich? Wer 'gewinnt'? Umgebung ist Windows Server 2008 und Windows 7. Danke für Input Gernot Meyer

This is an English forum, so you may consider posting this in the German related forum. To answer your question on who will update DNS, the DHCP server or the Windows Client... it depends. You need to go back to the DHCP server properties and see if the which checkbox is enabled. Enable DNS dynamic updates according to the settings below: -Dynamically update DNS A and PTR records only if requested by the DHCP Clients (DHCP server will if the client asks) -Always dynamically update DNS A and PTR records (DHCP will always update)Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.
