Duplicate SID in same domain Active Directory
recommended way for using hyper-v is : sysprep. you sysprep a VM before you deploy to production. I generally sysprep and shutdown a virtual machine. and i copy to new location and start it. when it starts sysprep wil create new sid. so same image with different SID. anyother way is not supported by microsoft. Dear all, I have a base image WS2008 R2 for Hyper-V guest Operationg System. I used that base image and join the computer to the domain for the WSUS, SCOM, and others. Anyway, I just check the SID and get a duplicate SID with computer that used a same base-image. Newsid tool is not work in WS2008 R2, any other tool to generete the SID? Thanks, Regads, Endrik
