Dropped Wireless Connections to Windows Server 2008
Hi Everyone, In my office I have a few users (Windows XP) that have issues getting to a Sharepoint website on a Windows 2008 Server. I don't believe its just port 80 connections though as people on wireless report random issues from time to time. This is our only 2008 server as or right now, but i'm curious if there is some setting that I need to tweak. I'm hosting my corporate Intranet site on the server and i can't have people getting "Page Cannot Be Displayed" messages to a server in the next room :) I am new to 2008 and I'm not having any issues connecting with my laptop (Windows 7). Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, I think we might need to know more about the exact error that is occurring, as the "Page cannot be displayed" can happen due to anything from a DNS issue to a timeout on the web server. -- Mike Burr

Hello, did you enable wireless on the server, by default it is disabled? Or is the server connected to a switch and only the clients use wireless connection through an access point connected to the switch also? Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the server and a problem client so we can exclude DNS and some other configuration settings.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
