Driver question in server 2008 r2
I recently updated my system to windows 2008 r2 enterprise. After doing so my server which is a DL585 G2 says that I am missing the driver for the Base System Device. any ideas on what this driver would be?

Hi, Have you ever installed other operating system on this server? Did you get the same issue? By the way, you may try to contact HP to see whether they have any information about the device. You may also wait for other community to share on this. Best Regards, Vincent Hu

Right click on the device in the Device Manager, and select Properties. On the Details tab, select Hardware Ids. You will see a list such as PCI\VEN_xxxx&DEV_yyyy&SUBSYS_zzzz PCI\VEN_xxxx&DEV_yyyy etc. Search on these strings with your favorite search engine and you can usually get a good idea what the device actually is. Usually VEN and DEV are enough. Good luck!
