Downgrade back to WINRM 2.0 from 3.0 beta
I am trying to add a Windows Server 2008r2 host in SCVMM 2012 and was getting a bunch of errors. After inspection and comparing one host to another that added correctly, I discovered that the problem was that the failing server had WINRM 3.0 installed on it. SCVMM 2012 requires 2.0 though. Is there any way to downgrade back to WINRM 2.0? Also on a related note when I look in the directory 'C:\windows\system32\windowspowershell\' the only folder I see is 'v1.0'. Does this mean that 3.0 isn't actually installed?

Hi, Windows Remote Management (WinRM) 3.0 may be installed together with Windows Management Framework (WMF) 3.0. You may uninstall the update KB2506143 to check the result. For more information, please refer to the following Microsoft document: WINDOWS MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK 3.0 BETA RELEASE NOTES http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/2/B/52B59966-3009-4F39-A99E-3732717BBE2A/WMF3%200%20Beta%20Release%20Notes.docx Regards,Arthur Li TechNet Community Support
