hi experts, in a windows 2k8 domain environment. Is there a way to keep track who's users are downloading from the internet (like downloading movies, songs..etc). Thanks in advance.

yo usually would keep track of that on your firewall/your proxy. microsofts product for that is TMG (http://www.microsoft.com/forefront/threat-management-gateway/en/us/features.aspx). if you are not concerned with what is downloaded and more by what pc and how much, you could monitor the traffic on your switchports, for example with snmp and cacti (http://www.cacti.net/)

Dear All, You can try "colasoft capsa" software for analysing the network traffic, able to identify which site they are connect, amount of data they are downloading etc...It is a free software. If you want set the bandwidth limit for the users or particular departmen, you can try "Bandwidth splitter" software. This software we can able to integrate with ISA also.
