Domain Rename - Certificate Authority Not Installed on DC
I believe I have posted to the correct forum but if not please move it to the correct forum. My company wants to rename the internal domain suffix from .com to .local. I have been testing this in a lab environment. DC, Exchange 03 Server and member servers. DC is running just as DC, DNS. Exchange is running Exchange 03 and CA. Member servers are standard member servers. I can rename the domain and fix the exchange information just fine but the CA on the exchange server continues to show the old domain name. I've looked online on how to fix this issue and I have yet to find anything other than decomission the CA and create a new CA. Is this the only solution or is there something else that I can make changes to? I am not really concerned with breaking anything at this point since I am doing this entirely in a lab so suggestions that someone will be helpful. Again I haven't seen anything online that points me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for your help.

Ok, I actually think I found the answer after reading some more. I haven't tested this out yet but to those others who are facing a similiar situation as mine read over this and see if it applies to your situation. http://thelazyadmin.com/blogs/thelazyadmin/archive/2006/06/09/Domain-Rename-Part-3-_2D00_-Exchange-2003.aspx
