Domain Controller Failed

Hello

I am using Windows Server 2012 R2, domain controller is configured on one of the server. However, my domain controller failed. I do not have any backup of Domain Controller; but having 6 additional domain controller. All users and computers are synced with each other. 2 adc are on same site and 4 at different location. How can I rebuild the DC with the help of any ad? I have system state backup of 2 AD server.

All ADC are showing type as GC

Also, how long site will work on ad without DC.

Please Help.

Hi,

Cleanup metadata for the failed domain controller, let replication flow to the rest of domain controllers. If this DC was a FSMO role holder you will have to seize any of the roles that were previously there to a different domain controller. Reinstall OS on that machine give a new name to that server and promote it as addtional domain controller. You can use promote using IFM from other domain controllers, that will speed intial replication sync if you have a large AD database. See below links for more information.
