You can log on to Servers and Workstations using the local account. You can NOT log on to a domain controller using a local account as the local account because the domain Administrator account. At the logon prompt on Servers you will have a drop down menu next to Domain. You should try changing that to represent the computer name it will even have "(This Computer)" next to it in the drop down list, then use your local account's username and password or you can try prefixing with the User Name with the Domain Name. On Windows 7 PCs you need to prefix the User Name. e.g. Machine name is SERVER1 and your LOCAL user name is bob. Username field for logon becomes SERVER1\bob. Jake,

Cheers Since it is a workstation no need to anything just try to logon in to the workstation using "workstation\local_user name" at Ctrl+Alt+Del screen. Note:You have to know the local user credentials. Moreover this is the forum restricted to ask server related queries.Next time on-wards please seek help in concerning workstation forums.
