Disk quota buffer around a folder
We are using Windows Storage Server 2008 OS, is there a way to create a reserved disk buffer around a Windows folder (subdir) to insure they always have “extra” space. Foe example, if I have a drive of 100GB with the following folders and
its space usage:
A - 50GB
B - 20GB
C - 10GB
Is there a way to create a quota where Folder A would occupies 70GB (thus having a 20GB free for itself only) where when users tries to write to folders B & C, the OS report disk is full while writing a A is OK until it reaches 70GB from the current
50GB used? Note: the same userid is allowed to write to all 3 folders permission-wise, so having an userid-based quota may not be possible.
Thanks.

Hi,
I think you would like to to set quotas on folders. So folders cannot over the set size.
This can be done by FSRM. All users will be restricted.
See:
